Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join a team of 3 surgeons and 3 APPs. You will serve as first/second assist in CABG, valve repairs, aneurysm cases, and provide preop/postop care, ICU/inpatient management, and clinic duties.

Requires MSN/post-Master/doctorate in NP, active RN and NP licenses, and 1–3 years CVTS or critical care experience. On-call and credentialing requirements apply; strong teamwork essential.

Formación

• Master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an accredited NP program.
• 1–3 years CVTS, critical care, or surgical specialty experience preferred.
• Current RN and NP licensure in each state of practice; DEA permit to prescribe.

Responsabilidades

• Provide advanced nursing care for adult CVTS patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Serve as first or second assist in the operating room when credentialed.
• Lead preoperative assessments, perioperative planning, and postoperative management.
• Coordinate ICU, step-down, and medical-surgical care transitions and discharge planning.
• Deliver clinic-based postoperative follow-ups and patient education.
