Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative physical exams and assess patient status.
• Order and interpret tests, diagnose and treat cardiothoracic conditions.
• Assist in surgery and write prescriptions.
• Coordinate patient care and round on inpatients.
• Perform chest tube insertions and endoscopic retrieval procedures.
• Provide inpatient patient care; nights and weekends coverage; possible weekday call.
• Temp privileges may be available; maintain clean background and board certification.
