Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions is partnering with a Jacksonville, FL hospital to fill a Cardiovascular Surgery locum tenens role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Responsibilities include first assist on CABG, valve, aortic and thoracic cases with EVH/saphenous vein harvesting, plus a 24-hour call schedule and about 30 patients per day.

Board-certified or board-eligible with ACLS, BLS and DEA required; EMR experience with Meditech, Patient Keeper, and eCW is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular surgery.
• ACLS,BLS, and DEA certifications required.
• EMR experience with Meditech, Patient Keeper and eCW.
• Must provide first assist on CABG, valve, aortic and thoracic cases.

Responsibilities

• First assist on CABG, valve, aortic and thoracic cases.
• Provide cardiovascular surgery locum tenens coverage.
• Maintain 24-hour call coverage and patient flow (~30 per day).
• Coordinate with hospital teams and ensure patient safety.
