Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, Florida is seeking a clinician to provide comprehensive cardiothoracic care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role includes preoperative and postoperative management, inpatient rounds, and coordination of care across departments.

The position requires a nursing or PA advanced credential, Florida licensure, BLS/ACLS, and CT surgery experience. It offers full-time hours, day shift, and a broad benefits package in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or PA program.
• Current Florida APRN or PA licensure in Florida.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
• Manage preoperative and postoperative cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Perform daily inpatient rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans
• Assist in the operating room as a first assist during cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Provide postoperative care, including chest tube management, wound evaluations, and patient education
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and imaging results
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Participate in outpatient clinic visits, consultations, and follow-up appointments
• Document patient care accurately and timely within the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, rehabilitation services, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

Pay Range:
