Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks a cardiothoracic surgeon for a 24-hour on-site inpatient assignment in Southwestern Texas. You will provide 24-hour call coverage on a 1:1 basis with weekend shifts (Friday through Monday) starting in November at a Level 2 trauma center.

Clinical duties include CT surgery coverage, support of the trauma center, and backup coverage for Cath Lab procedures. One hospital-based Nurse Practitioner assists during each period.

Qualifications

• Board certification negotiations stated but not strictly required.
• Weekend call coverage experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• CT surgery coverage as part of 24-hour call; Level 2 trauma center support.
• Backup coverage for Cath Lab procedures; on-site inpatient assignment with NP support.
