Job summary

SGMC Health in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a full-time, hospital-employed role. The clinic sits on SGMC’s main campus with two surgeons and access to two dedicated heart ORs, an Endovascular Hybrid Suite, and dedicated APP support.

The team runs a structural heart program including TAVR/TMVR and Mitra Clip, with a 1:3 call schedule and strong referral networks. Compensation is competitive with a strong base, productivity bonuses, relocation assistance, CME support,

Qualifications

• Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
• Experience with the EPIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full-time, permanent, hospital employed position.
• Cardiothoracic Clinic is located on SGMC’s main campus in Valdosta, GA.
• Work with two Cardiothoracic Surgeons to provide high-quality care.
• Participate in the structural heart program (TAVR, TMVR & Mitra Clip) and aortic surveillance clinics.
• Call coverage is 1:3.
• Two dedicated Heart ORs with a dedicated Heart OR Team and one Endovascular Hybrid Suite.
• Dedicated APPs and an excellent referral pattern with cardiology groups.
