Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking an experienced, full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to lead and grow the hospital's cardiothoracic surgery program. The role blends high‑volume clinical practice with academic involvement and program development, including serving as core faculty for the Thoracic Surgery Fellowship within the Gulf Coast Division.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license or eligible.
• Proven experience handling complex cardiac and thoracic cases independently.
• Robotic thoracic procedures experience preferred.
• Commitment to surgical education and mentorship.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to support program growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical cardiothoracic surgery services in the local community.
• Perform a full spectrum of cardiac and thoracic procedures.
• Utilize robotic-assisted thoracic surgery technologies.
• Manage high-acuity and complex cases independently.
• Serve as core faculty for the Thoracic Surgery Fellowship program; mentor fellows.
• Collaborate with cardiology, emergency medicine, and critical care teams.
