Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks an adult cardiac surgeon to join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The role covers all aspects of general adult cardiac surgery, including CABG, valve procedures, and aortic work.

Candidates must complete an accredited Cardiothoracic Surgery residency and hold ABTS certification/eligibility, and be eligible for a South Carolina medical license. The successful candidate will contribute to MUSC's program across South Carolina, including

Qualifications

• The candidate must have completed a residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
• Eligibility for a South Carolina medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive adult cardiac surgery including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery.
• Collaborate with affiliated cardiac surgery programs around South Carolina (Florence, Anderson, Greenwood, Columbia).
• Demonstrate clinical excellence, quality, and safety in patient care.
