Job summary

Tulane University is seeking a highly qualified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery within the School of Medicine’s Southern Gulf Region. The candidate will provide clinical care, supervise residents, and engage in academic activities.

The appointment targets junior to mid-career surgeons and aims for an Associate Professor level with opportunities for growth within the department.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible cardiothoracic surgeon.
• Experience in mitral valve repair and complex valve surgery.
• Experience in aortic surgery and CABG.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support and TAVR.
• Committed to clinical quality and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care via face-to-face and virtual modalities.
• Supervise surgical residents.
• Participate in academic activities of the section and quality improvement programs.
• Meet criteria for appointment as Associate Professor at the medical school.
