Intermountain Health is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a three-surgeon CT team in St. George, Utah. The role supports an expanding Structural Heart/TAVR program and robust APP collaboration.

The ideal candidate will perform both cardiac and thoracic procedures with 1:4 call, 1-2 clinic days, and strong leadership relationships within the hospital. New fellows welcomed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or ability to obtain.
• U.S. ACGME Residency.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health credentialing.

Responsibilities

Intermountain Health is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly collaborative team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons in St. George, Utah. This is an exceptional opportunity to step into an established practice with strong surgical volumes, robust APP support, and an expanding Structural Heart program.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in both adult cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery, with enthusiasm for participating in and growing our Structural Heart/TAVR program alongside an experienced cardiovascular team.

Opportunity Highlights

• Join a team of 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
• Supported by 4 Surgical APPs and 2 Structural Heart APPs
• Partner with 2 Interventional Cardiologists performing TAVR procedures
• Approximately 250 CABG and valve cases annually and growing
• Opportunity to perform both cardiac and thoracic procedures
• 1-2 clinic days per week
• 1:4 call schedule with flexibility around vacations and time off
• Major cardiovascular expansion underway, including 2 Hybrid ORs scheduled for completion in 2027
• Open to both experienced surgeons and graduating fellows

How We’ll Support You

• Starting salary for new fellows: $813,500
• Standard salary (3+ years' experience): $957,000
• wRVU incentive: $97.65 per wRVU above annual threshold
• Continuous Improvement Bonus: $75,000 annually beginning Year 2 (metrics driven)
• $50,000 starting bonus
• Up to $20,000 relocation assistance
• Up to $5,000 annual CME allowance
• Discretionary Time Off (uncapped)

What you’ll bring:
