Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking experienced and new graduate RNs for full-time positions in the 9D cardiothoracic transplant unit. The unit emphasizes collaboration, advanced care, and a strong nursing career ladder.

Qualifications

• 0–6 months of nursing experience required.
• Active RN license in the state of practice or multi-state license.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire; BLS/CPR per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients and team members to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Educate patients and families using adult learning principles and support team learning.
• Provide holistic nursing care, document thoroughly, and set daily care goals.
• Grow professionally through shared governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice.
