Job summary

Qualifications

• Board-certified Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority.

• Equivalent education/experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the cardiovascular operating room as a first assistant.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessments; order and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Provide direct treatment and management under prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Counsel patients and families on health conditions and options.
• Document care per specialty standards and participate in staff education.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
