Job summary

Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team for inpatient care, weekends, and day shifts.

You will work with a large physician group and APPs, perform rounds, consults, and triage, and participate in quality initiatives.

Applicants should have MSN, RN/APRN licensure in Indiana, and relevant certifications; 1+ year of NP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MSN program; DNP optional.
• Current RN and APRN license; state certification as required.
• 1+ year NP/PA experience preferred.
• Certifications such as BLS, ACLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Day shifts 7a-7p; weekends; 40 hours per week.
• Inpatient care with patient rounds, consults, and triage.
• Collaborate with a large team of physicians and APPs.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives.

PPG Cardiology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our robust practice of 30 physicians and 22 APP's to serve our patients with diverse cardiac needs within the communities we serve. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members as well as community organizations or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.

Schedule and Responsibilities

• Day Shift- 7a-7p- weekends- additional day in week
• Inpatient
• Work location at PRMC
• Great collaboration with our 30 Physicians and 22 APP’s
• Opportunity to participate in quality improvements and patient care initiatives
• Day to Day includes patient rounding, consults,and triage

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program; DNP optional.

License & Cert:

Current state license for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Current or pending certification by approved professional certification organization. Certifications as required by specialty, which may be but is not limited to (BLS, ACLS/ACLS‐EP, PALS, ATLS, CSR).

Experience:

Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Certain departments or specialties may require additional experience as a nurse or Nurse Practitioner.

Other Qualifications:

Excellent critical thinking and communication skills. Ability to collaborate with intra‐interdepartmental team members, along with community organizations or members. Meets expectations within a work environment requiring multi‐tasking skills and diplomatic communication skills.
