Job summary

CVCA Frederick is seeking a Credentialed Cardiology Veterinary Technician to join a highly focused team specializing in advanced veterinary cardiology. You will perform specialized diagnostics, medication administration, phlebotomy, and client communication while maintaining patient comfort and a clean facility.

Our network provides access to ongoing education and mentorship, with opportunities to train veterinary assistants and grow into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Cardiology, internal medicine, or specialty experience is a plus.
• Calm, efficient under fast-paced or stressful conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active for long periods.
• Willingness to travel to secondary locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cardiac diagnostics (ECG, Holter, blood pressure, imaging).
• Accurately calculate, prepare, and administer cardiac meds and sedatives.
• Perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and radiography.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain facility cleanliness.
• Discharge patients, review treatment plans with clients, and assist with scheduling.
