Job summary

MSPCA-Angell West is seeking a Cardiology Technician/Assistant for a part-time role (20 hours/week) with Monday and Tuesday 7:30am–6pm and some holiday coverage. The position collaborates with veterinarians and staff to provide outstanding clinical support in exams, radiology, and inpatient/outpatient procedures.

Two years of veterinary technician/assistant experience is required; a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as veterinary technician/assistant.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-veterinarian hospital is ideal.
• Cover letter showcasing writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with exams and procedures in clinic and radiology.
• Prepare histories, admission packets, and estimates; set up exam room.
• Transport animals safely according to hospital policies.
• Return client calls/emails and relay messages to doctors.
• Schedule rechecks and diagnostic imaging as needed.
• Maintain client communication as directed by the doctor.
• Maintain medical records (electronic and hardcopy).
