Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Variant Assessment Scientist to interpret molecular test results, review literature, and contribute to variant classification guidelines. You will help innovate methods for assessing sequence variants and support fast, accurate reporting.

The role involves guiding a collaborative clinical team, updating guidelines, and training new staff as the project expands within a highly adaptive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD with expertise in molecular genetics, human genetics, molecular pathology or related field.
• MS in molecular biology or genetics with exceptional expertise may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Write and interpret molecular test results, including relevant medical literature reviews and summary.
• Participate in updating variant classification guidelines and developing gene-specific guidelines.
• Research novel ways to assess sequence variants.
• Manage and follow guidelines of variant pre-classification workflow to maximize reporting results within published turn-around times.
• Train new variant team members or clinical team.
