Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification.
• Proficient typing and basic computer skills.
• Ability to transcribe and enter information accurately into the hospital system.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Answer, screen, and route telephone calls and messages promptly.
• Maintain medical records, census reports, and unit files in order.
• Enter and retrieve information via the hospital information system accurately.
• Coordinate patient schedules and communicate with departments as needed.
• Manage unit supplies, equipment, and bulletin boards to keep areas orderly.
• Provide clerical support to the health-care team and participate in quality initiatives.
