Duke Cardiology of Raleigh in Raleigh, NC is seeking a CLINICAL NURSE II to join its cardiology team as a triage nurse and key care provider. The role supports direct and indirect patient care on site at Cardiology of Raleigh.

Responsibilities include telephone triage, IV starts, medication management, and collaboration with the care team. ACLS within 6 months is required; schedule is day shifts, Monday–Friday with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifikationen

• Requires graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required.
• Cardiology experience preferred; triage experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage nurse line for telephone triage and document encounters.
• Assess patients prior to procedures and alert physicians as needed.
• Start IVs and calculate doses per physician orders.
• Handle prescription refills per clinic protocols.
• Manage PT/INR testing and provide Warfarin education.
• Maintain department logs, materials and accreditation reports.
• Perform triage intake with vitals and visit data.
• Serve as clinical resource for unlicensed staff.
• Participate in performance improvement projects.
• Train new staff for cross-coverage and education.
