The Contra Costa Health Services Department is offering an excellent career opportunity to fill one (1) Cardiology Technician I position assigned to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) located in Martinez, CA.

What you will typically be responsible for:

  • Providing patient care in both a clinic and a hospital setting.
  • Performing EKGs and cardiac stress tests.
  • Setting up wearable cardiac monitors.
  • Educating patients on how to care for and maintain wearable cardiac monitors.
  • Charting patient information.
  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Assisting with codes and rapid response.

Experience: One (1) year of full time experience, or its equivalent, in the operation of electrocardiograph machines and related equipment.

Substitution for Experience: A certificate of completion of an electrocardiography course issued by an accredited college or vocational school may be substituted for the experience.

Certification Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross.

Training & Experience Evaluation: Candidates who clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will have their training and experience evaluated.
