Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Cardiology Technician I for Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. You will support graded exercise tests and nuclear stress tests, assist patients with electrode placement, vitals, and monitoring under RN supervision.

You may rotate among four TriHealth sites and participate in limited weekend on-call coverage. A high school diploma and a willingness to learn are required, with healthcare exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• May need to start IVs (venipuncture experience helpful).
• Up to 1 year experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform graded exercise testing and nuclear stress testing under RN supervision.
• Apply electrodes, assist with vital signs, monitor, and notify RN of abnormalities.
• Apply Holter monitors and handle documentation for testing.
• Demonstrate service excellence and collaborative teamwork.
• Assist in other cardiology duties and maintain testing protocols.

Job Overview

Responsible for performing the graded exercise testing and nuclear stress testing under the supervision of the staff RN. The tech assists the patient in getting ready for the test: applies electrodes, may need to take vital signs, watches the monitor, etc. Notifies RN for any abnormalities in heart rhythm. The tech will apply Holter monitors and assist with daily paperwork for the testing department. Displays Service Excellence and has strong interpersonal skills. Cognizant of cardiac abnormalities. Will perform EKGs.

• Charges, files as needed.
• May assist in other cardiology duties.
• Recognized emergency situations and acts appropriately.
• Stays current with cardiology trends.
