Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Cardiology Technician for the Ontario, OR area. The role performs stress testing, EEGs, holter and event monitors, and handles related documentation and charge capture, following established protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, BLS certification at hire, and preferably knowledge of EKGs and medical terminology. Four 9.5-hour shifts offer three days off weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification for Healthcare providers at hire in all units, unless ACLS/PALS already.
• Previous knowledge of EKGs preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors and decisions.
• Demonstrates compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric).
• Performs EEG studies, stress testing including adenosine stress, Lexi Stress, treadmill stress testing and holter monitoring hook-ups per protocol.
• Communicates procedures to the patient professionally.
• Edits clinical information accurately per physician interpretation.
• Charges testing appropriately and maintains daily records per protocol.

Performs stress testing, EEGs (Electroencephalography), applies holter monitors, event monitors, records, processes associated paperwork, charge capture and daily revenue review.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma required.

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.

• Previous knowledge of EKGs preferred.

• Medical terminology preferred.

HOURS: Four 9.5 hours a day - enjoying three days off each week.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
