Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of work experience; Certified Technician is preferred.
• Requires ability to perform all basic electrocardiographic procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served, as defined in the scope of service for the area of practice.
• Completes cardiology procedures paying particular attention to all details insuring a quality study.
• Reviews all procedures obtained by new hires and students for accuracy, correct data and technical data.
• Demonstrates proper technique for performing routine ECGs.
• Acquires Signal Average ECGs according to physician specifications.
• Operates holter scanning equipment, scans are thoroughly analyzed, significant data recognized and representative strips documented.
• Assists in the performance of stress testing, treadmill exercise routine, nuclear medicine and stress echocardiography. Proper procedure is adhered to 100% of the time. Accurate data is obtained for physician interpretation.
