Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking a Cardiology Technician to perform electrocardiograms (EKG) and assist with cardiac stress testing. You will present completed exams for physician interpretation and handle related clerical tasks such as filing, EKG transcription, reception, and record management.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and Certification in Basic Life Support. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change are essential; successful completion of Acts 73/169

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required.
• Must complete Acts 73/169 clearances within 90 days, if applicable.
• Preferred: experience with EKG/stress testing and basic arrhythmia course.
• Experience with computer applications/word processing is a plus.

Cardiology Department at AHN Sewickley Hospital - Work hours: FT Position, work week is Monday through Friday 5:30am - 2:00pm, no scheduled weekends or holidays typically, however, Stress Lab coverage on 3 day holiday weekends may be needed.

The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing electrocardiograms (EKG) and assisting with cardiac stress testing procedures. Presents the completed exam for interpretation by the physician. Performs clerical duties surrounding cardiology diagnostic testing that includes but is not limited to filing, EKG transcription, reception responsibilities and record management.

Requirements: High school graduate or GED. Certification in Basic Life Support. Must be flexible and easily adaptable to change.

Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred: Prior experience in EKG/stress testing. Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course. Prior experience in computer applications/word processing.
