Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care in Morganton, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Cardiology Stepdown role focused on high-quality, patient-centered care in a progressive care setting. You will collaborate with medical providers to deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing services.

You will assess patients on admission and during shifts, perform procedures and medications as ordered, and document care thoroughly.

Qualifications

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years.
• Current RN licensure with the appropriate state board.
• BLS certification; national certification preferred.
• One year of hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care, strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures and administer medications as ordered, monitoring responses.
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in medical records.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.
• Advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.
