Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a scheduling professional to manage radiology appointments in a fast-paced, fully computerized setting. You will liaise with staff, medical offices, and physicians to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of medical terminology, 3 years of medical clerical experience or an associate's degree, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with computer applications and typing at 40 wpm is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology.
• Three (3) years previous medical related clerical experience or an associate's degree.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling function in a high volume fully computerized environment.
• Acts as a professional liaison for staff, other hospital personnel, medical staff, and physicians' offices.
• Requires general knowledge of radiological procedures, exam preparations, exam sequencing and other related functions.
• Typing, strong customer service and problem solving are required.
