Colorado State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician to provide advanced nursing and technical care for cardiology patients, including diagnostics and monitoring. You will work with veterinary students, interns, residents, and faculty to support a range of cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating clinic operations, assisting in Interventional Radiology, and teaching students while maintaining aseptic environments.

Qualifications

• Current RVT Certification recognized by the state of Colorado.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting with proficiency in animal handling, client communication, and basic lab techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology, animal science, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in cardiology or surgical services (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced nursing and technical care for cardiology patients, including ECGs and monitoring.
• Coordinate clinic operations: patient flow, diagnostic testing, medical records, and clinician communication.
• Assist in Interventional Radiology: sterile prep, circulating during procedures, and supporting anesthesia and imaging needs.
• Operate and maintain imaging and procedural equipment safely and accurately.
• Maintain clean, stocked clinical environments with aseptic standards.
• Teach and mentor students and staff on cardiology and IR procedures.
• Provide professional client communication: scheduling, follow-up, and discharge information.
• Perform related duties to support cardiology service operations.
