Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; compact licenses must transfer within 60 days of start date.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social, and psychological status and gather information from the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized plan of care and involve patient, family, and team in education and referrals.
• Direct and coordinate the care team to implement the plan while managing time, supplies, and resources.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust the plan as needed to achieve goals.
• Promote nursing professionalism, comply with regulatory standards, document accurately, and understand legal implications of care.
