Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, invites applications for a Research Project Manager to coordinate Cardiac electrophysiology studies, including large animal models and gene therapy procedures.

This role requires organizing lab activities, managing external collaborations, ensuring compliance, and supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing projects in a collaborative academic setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a college or university degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advanced qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead all lab experiments and schedules for the Arora lab.
• Oversee external lab collaborations and manage project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with protocols, safety, staff and animals; maintain ACUC protocols.
• Assist with animal experimentation and large animal cardiovascular research.
• Prepare and maintain protocol submissions and revisions.
• Record findings, analyze data, and support reports/manuscripts.
