Essentia Health Heart & Vascular Center is the largest diagnostic, therapeutic, interventional, and cardiothoracic surgery program in the region and the second-largest program in Minnesota.

Practice Specifics

• Join a team of 15 Cardiologists, including 6 Non-invasive Cardiology Specialists, 6 CV Interventionalists, 3 Electrophysiologists, and 2 General Cardiologists.
• 1:6 weekend call; 25 weeknight calls per year.
• ICAEL Accredited Echocardiography Lab with 11 dedicated Registered Echo Technologists.
• Comprehensive, full-service, non-invasive Cardiovascular Lab including Cardiac MRI and CTA.
• Innovative programs such as Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, and Cardiac Rehab.
• 16 full-time cardiac NPs and PAs.
• Affiliated with St. Mary’s Medical Center, a 330-bed tertiary care hospital.
• Level I Trauma Center and the third highest hospital for acuity in Minnesota.
• Dedicated cardiac research staff with over 25 ongoing studies.
• Certified HIMSS EMRAM Level 7 for both inpatient and outpatient facilities.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
• CT and MRI experience is a plus but not required.

• 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
• Regional service area population: approximately 460,000.
