Job Description

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to help establish a new practice location in Sulphur Springs, TX.

The staffing model will include a Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinician and full office staff, including clerical and front office staff, medical assistants, and nursing staff, managed by an experienced clinic administrative team.

The physician/APC team will provide 24/7 hospital coverage, with STEMI coverage to be determined by this local cardiology department. After-hours and weekend STEMI cases can be transferred by ground or air ambulance to other system facilities, as decided by local cardiologists.

CHRISTUS Mother Frances is a 94-bed community hospital with a busy 24/7 emergency room, an advanced cardiac Cath lab with full invasive diagnostic and interventional capabilities, a critical care unit, and full noninvasive capabilities including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.

This new team will join one of the largest multispecialty clinics in Texas, part of the CHRISTUS Healthcare not-for-profit system, which includes over 1400 clinicians, 50+ cardiologists and APCs, and 7 hospitals serving over 10 communities. The clinic is a Texas 501a not-for-profit with a physician-led board.

The clinic, hospital, and health system operate under a strong dyad leadership model, partnering physician and administrative leadership.

Sulphur Springs is located 80 miles from Dallas, with a growing business base, excellent schools, vibrant downtown, parks, sports fields, country clubs, lakes, walking trails, and parks.
