Job summary

Covenant Health seeks an Advanced Practice Practitioner for Cardiology Associates of East Tennessee. This full-time, day-shift role involves independent and collaborative patient care, scheduling, supervising, and performing complex cardiac procedures as authorized by the Tennessee Board.

Responsibilities include comprehensive exams, ordering tests, formulating treatment plans, and educating patients. CPR is required; licensure as a physician assistant in Tennessee is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician assistant with authority to practice in Tennessee.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in cardiology or acute care settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations; assess and treat acute/chronic cardiac conditions.
• Deliver patient care within the scope of approved privileges.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with a team.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure timely patient flow.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and follow-up.
