Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Physician Assistant to support cardiology services in hospital and clinic settings in Houston. You will conduct exams, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians for discharge and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.
• CPR/BCLS current or ACLS within 6 months of date of hire.
• Eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas.
• Minimum 3 years general PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in hospital and outpatient clinic settings as a cardiology PA extender.
• Perform and document examinations and plans of care.
• Discuss findings with physicians and coordinate care.
• Order medications and tests per guidelines and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and treatment plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and EPIC optimization tasks.
• Support department EPIC optimization from clinical perspective.
