Job description

Medical Director, Echocardiography Lab, for an Academic Cardiology Practice in the Saint Louis Metropolitan Area

We are actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Medical Director of our IAC-accredited echocardiography lab at SSM Health-Saint Louis University Hospital. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in further developing our advanced echo lab within an academic setting.

Clinical responsibilities include:

1. Outpatient practice
2. Inpatient rounding
3. Transthoracic and TEE imaging
4. Structural echo imaging and outreach

The physician will collaborate with the Medical Director of TEE to advance our growing structural interventional practice. The successful candidate will also have dedicated administrative time for protocol development and clinical research.

Preference will be given to candidates with additional training in advanced echocardiography and those with established research interests or grants in echocardiography. A clinician-scientist track will be considered for suitable candidates. Active licenses in Missouri and Illinois are required prior to the start date.

Minimum Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in cardiology
• Academic appointment commensurate with credentials and experience
