Auburn, CA, (pop: 14,000) is 35 minutes away, and Rocklin (pop: 76,000) and Roseville (pop: 160,000) are about 45 minutes from Grass Valley. Either way, you can avoid traffic by living in Grass Valley, or by living near Roseville and driving the opposite direction of most traffic!
