The University of Vermont Main Campus is seeking a locum provider for Inpatient General Cardiology.

October through July, consisting of 2 consecutive non-holiday weeks each month.

Job Title:

Inpatient General Cardiology

Description of Work Assignment:

Provide inpatient general cardiology coverage for 2 consecutive weeks each month. Weekend work includes patient rounding (AM before 12 noon) and call coverage, which can be performed outside of the hospital setting. Weekend call hours are from 8:00 AM Saturday to 5:00 PM Sunday, involving patient rounds and phone call management from a hotel.

University of Vermont Medical Center

Schedule and Hours:

Inpatient coverage from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including morning rounds, managing new admissions, and discharges. The provider will support teaching medical students, residents, and fellows during rounds.

Additional Information:

• Procedures required: None
• Patient load: 15-25 patients
• Fellowship: Cardiology
• Board certification required: Yes (BC/BE)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS not required
• Support staff: APPs (Advanced Practice Providers)
