Responsibilities include performing diagnostic studies, monitoring noninvasive tests, rounds, and patient education.

Aufgaben

• Admits, evaluates, and treats patients in office and in-patient hospital settings for procedures, collaboration with attending physicians.
• Provides patient care management, reviews history, performs exams, formulates care plans, and orders/tests.
• Performs routine diagnostic studies and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Monitors noninvasive testing including stress tests, nuclear cardiology scans, pacemaker monitoring, and echocardiography.
• Documents treatment plans and writes orders under supervision; assists with procedures and catheter insertions.
• Oversees coordination of clinical care, communicates across departments, and ensures cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
• Transcribes preoperative and postoperative orders, medications, and activity levels as authorized.
• Writes orders for medications, labs, diagnostics, and nursing activities; may authorize narcotics and other drugs as needed.
• Performs rounds, evaluates patients, and discusses cases with physicians for complex diagnoses.
• Educates patients and families about preventive care, treatments, and interventional procedures.
• Maintains accurate medical records and facilitates discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Ensures compliance with NCQA, TJC, and regulatory standards and participates in ongoing professional development.
