Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide exceptional patient care across a range of medical conditions. The role includes collecting data, aiding daily living activities, patient transport, specimen collection, and ensuring patient safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CT-approved Nurse Aide Training (preferred) with at least one clinical, or related healthcare experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CT approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety

Education
