Adena Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) to join our inpatient Cardiology team in Chillicothe, Ohio. This 100% inpatient role focuses on delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care to hospitalized patients alongside experienced physicians and APPs.

New graduates are welcome with a strong cardiology nursing background. The team emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth within a physician-led, high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner with health-system experience.
• Experience in Cardiology, Critical Care, Cath Lab, ED, or Hospital Medicine.
• New graduates encouraged if they possess a strong cardiology nursing background.
• Strong nursing background in cardiology or other acute care specialties preferred.

Responsibilities

About The Team

Our collaborative cardiology team currently includes:

• 3 Non-Invasive Cardiologists
• 3 Interventional Cardiologists (expanding to 6)
• 1 Electrophysiologist
• 1 Cardiothoracic Surgeon
• 4 Inpatient Nurse Practitioners
• 5 Outpatient Nurse Practitioners (cross-trained to assist inpatient when needed)

As our cardiovascular services continue to expand, you'll work alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.

Position Summary

This is a 100% inpatient position providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to hospitalized patients.

Responsibilities Include

• Performing inpatient cardiology consultations
• Conducting subsequent patient visits
• Participating in daily physician rounds
• Collaborating with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Managing patient care independently while working closely with the physician team
• Delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend coverage approximately every couple of months
• Flex day provided during the week following weekend coverage

Preferred candidates will have:

• Nurse Practitioner experience within a health system setting

• Emergency Department
• Hospital Medicine

New graduates are encouraged to apply if they possess a strong nursing background in cardiology or other relevant acute care specialties.

New providers participate in a structured 90-day onboarding program led by the Inpatient NP Lead, including:

• Rotational training with experienced inpatient APPs
