Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Cardiac Associates in Rockville is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality patient care within the ARNP scope of practice. The role includes diagnosing and treating work-related and non-work-related injuries, coordinating care and performing fitness-for-duty evaluations, with a focus on safe and effective patient management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Master’s degree, and postgraduate training in a clinical specialty are required.
• 2 years’ clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Certification as a CRNP and state authority for advanced practice required.
• Current Maryland license from the Board of Nursing.
• Maintains eligibility to participate in the Medicare Program

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses within the ARNP scope of practice with referrals when needed.
• Coordinate care/case management with medical consultants and other providers.
• Perform fitness for duty evaluations and return-to-work screenings.
• Initiate treatments within ARNP scope including medications and procedures as appropriate.
• Participate in performance improvement and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow infection control guidelines and safety regulations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Master’s degree, and postgraduate training in a clinical specialty

Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Current Maryland license from the Board of Nursing
