Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide direct care in cardiology across outpatient and inpatient settings. You will identify urgent findings, partner with physicians, and prescribe or administer therapies as approved.

The role features 4–10 hour shifts with one weekend per month and no night call. The ideal candidate has an Acute Care NP Master’s, CT APRN license, and 3+ years in a clinical area (cardiology

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master’s program.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an APRN in Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible for National Board Certification as APRN.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to outpatient and inpatient cardiology patients in collaboration with a physician.
• Identify diagnostic information and communicate emergent findings to the physician colleague.
• Prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic measures within scope of practice.
• Shift: 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, no night call.
