Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute of New England (CINE) in Rhode Island is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an inpatient or outpatient cardiology focus. Work a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend coverage or on-call requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cardiologists and a supportive team of APPs. Rhode Island licensed candidates or those eligible for licensure are welcome, including new graduates who wish to develop their cardiovascular expertise.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant credential required or eligible
• Rhode Island license or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting
• Cardiology experience preferred but not required
• New graduate NPs and PAs encouraged to apply
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Collaborative approach to patient care
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with cardiovascular diagnoses
• Perform initial evaluations and follow-up care
• Review histories, symptoms, medications, and progress
• Order and review diagnostic tests and labs
• Evaluate EKGs, monitoring, and imaging
• Collaborate with cardiologists on treatment plans
• Educate patients on medications, risk factors, and lifestyle
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other staff
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and efficiently
