Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute of New England (CINE) in Rhode Island seeks a full‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest in cardiology. The role offers an inpatient or outpatient focus, a Monday–Friday schedule, and no call or weekend requirements, with opportunities to learn from an established cardiovascular team.

New graduates are welcome, and experienced APPs can further develop their clinical skills within a supportive network.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Rhode Island license or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting.
• Cardiology experience preferred but not required.
• New graduate NPs and PAs encouraged to apply.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with diverse cardiovascular diagnoses.
• Perform initial evaluations and cardiovascular follow-up care.
• Review histories, symptoms, medications, and progress.
• Order and review diagnostic testing and laboratory studies.
• Evaluate EKGs, monitoring, imaging, and other testing.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to adjust treatment plans.
• Educate patients on medications, diagnoses, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nursing teams, and other staff.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and efficiently.
