The South Bend Clinic in South Bend, IN, seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team. You will perform exams, develop care plans, and treat minor illnesses under physician supervision, with opportunities to contribute to patient-centered, team-based care.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years as an advanced practice provider, current PA/NP licensure, ANCC certification, and CPR; the role includes collaborative practice, CME funds, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• National certification in the applicable specialty (ANCC).
• Current state licensure as PA or Advanced Practice Nurse and RN.
• Maintains current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Active mid-level practitioner license and DEA license may be required based on prescriptive authority.

Responsabilités

• Perform patient examinations and record physical exams, develop care plans and treat minor illnesses per protocol.
• Order labs, x-rays and other tests; refer to supervising physicians as needed.
• Prescribe medications within scope with physician oversight and applicable licenses.
• Instruct patients and families on healthcare, prevention, and home care, adapting to age and culture.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills; maintain patient records.
