Job summary

The South Bend Clinic's Cardiology team in South Bend is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a tight knit, collaborative group. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of licensed Advanced Practice Provider experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• National certification in the applicable specialty.
• Current state licensure as PA or Advanced Practice Nurse and RN.
• Maintains CPR (BLS) certification.
• DEA license may be required based on prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient examinations and treatment and document progress.
• Develop care plans and manage minor illnesses and injuries per protocols.
• Order laboratory, imaging, and other non-invasive tests as needed.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and refer patients when care exceeds NP scope.
• Prescribe medications within scope with physician oversight.
