Med Ninjas in Jackson, Michigan is seeking two experienced Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) to support its inpatient cardiology service at Henry Ford Jackson. This locum-tenens assignment emphasizes rounds, follow-up care, and discharge planning.
The role requires inpatient/outpatient cardio experience, board-certified APP status, and Michigan licensure. 7-on/7-off schedule with 56 hours/week; Epic EMR experience preferred. Eligible credentials include NP/PA licensure and DEA.
Qualifications
- Board-certified APP required.
- Minimum 3 years of cardiology experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Active Michigan license at time of clearance.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Clean malpractice/licensing history.
- Epic EMR familiarity preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in inpatient cardiology rounds alongside physicians.
- Manage follow-up patients on the inpatient service.
- Provide discharge instructions and coordinate discharge planning.
- Manage post-procedure patient care and follow-up.
- Support continuity of care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Document encounters and care plans in Epic.
