Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team in Waterloo, IA. This role supports Electrophysiology (EP) and Interventional Cardiology, with a blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities and a strong APP team for collaboration.

You will work with experienced physicians, participate in patient management of complex cardiac cases, and benefit from a structured onboarding and mentorship program.

Qualifications

• Cardiology experience or strong acute care/internal medicine background preferred.
• Eligible for Iowa licensure.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in clinic and hospital settings.
• Support EP and Interventional cardiology services (arrhythmia management, post-procedure care).
• Provide rounding, consults, and follow-up care; educate patients on treatment plans.
