Job summary
Intermountain Health's Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology team. You will round on inpatient cardiology patients, perform pre-procedure workups, and support outpatient clinics.
This role offers a 40-hour week, no weekend responsibilities, competitive benefits, CME allowance, and license/malpractice support. Requirements include Colorado NP/PA licensure, DEA, BLS/ACLS, and cardiology experience.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited NP or PA program.
- Current Colorado license/certification as NP or PA or ability to obtain.
- DEA and prescriptive authority, required.
- BLS and ACLS certification, required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent cardiology experience.
Responsibilities
- Round on general and interventional cardiology patients in the hospital.
- Perform pre-procedure evaluations and workups for cardiac catheterization cases.
- Remove pericardial drains and temporary pacemakers as clinically appropriate.
- Transition to outpatient clinic responsibilities after inpatient rounding.
- Conduct follow-up visits and supervise outpatient treadmill stress testing.
