Job summary

Memorial Health in Decatur, IL, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology Team in an on-site, specialty-care role. This APP position emphasizes collaboration with physicians, patients, and families to deliver evidence-based cardiovascular care.

Candidates should have Cardiology experience and current APRN or PA licensure, with applicable certifications; you will coordinate care, perform exams, develop treatment plans, and participate in education and outreach

Qualifications

Must possess and maintain APRN licensure per Illinois law.
Must possess and maintain PA licensure per Illinois law.
Appropriate APRN/PA certification as required by the department.
Maintain IL Controlled Substance license within 3 months of hire if not held.
Maintain DEA license within 3 months of hire if required.
Valid CPR certification required.
ACLS where required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care and family counseling with public and agencies.
Document all care and complete required paperwork.
Develop, writes and updates NP practice protocol annually with physician review.
Assist physician in monitoring the quality of medical services within the department.
Perform exams, health maintenance activities, and patient education.
