Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support acute cardiology patients at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. You will oversee a cardiology caseload, collaborate with the medical team, and drive high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Applicants should hold NP or PA credentials, with cardiology experience and EPIC familiarity. Prescriptive privileges are required; day shifts with some weekend coverage are possible.

Qualifications

RN with acute care experience is required.
NP/PA with cardiology exposure preferred.
Experience with EPIC is a plus.
Prescriptive privileges in RI required for NP or PA.
Graduate of accredited NP/PA program and board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage a cardiology patient caseload in collaboration with the care team.
Lead development and evaluation of standards, policies, and pathways for patient care.
Oversee triage, admission decisions, inpatient care, and discharge planning.
Support patient/family education and clinical mentoring of staff.
Perform advanced practice duties under Medical Director supervision.
Contribute to clinical education and research activities.
