Job summary

Market Street Staffing in Hood River, OR seeks an experienced APRN/PA for part-time locum coverage in cardiology. The role involves supervision for ECHO and Nuclear stress tests, plus office cardiac device checks and EKG interpretation.

Candidates must be board-certified with AHA BLS/ACLS, and hold Oregon APRN/PA licenses. This independent contractor position offers travel benefits for greater than 50 miles, with no benefits typical of W-2 employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.

Reasonfor Coverage: Long-term permanent search

PracticeSetting:

  • Supervision for ECHO/Nuclear stress tests
  • Office cardiac device checks and EKG interpretation
  • Average 12 PPD

Schedule:

  • Part-time coverage
  • No weekends or call required

EMR: EPIC

Credentialing: 90 days

Requirements:

  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum1-year Cardiology experience or equivalent
Job Responsibilities (Generalized):

Requirements

Education:

  • Masterof Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NPspecialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology,pediatrics)
  • Masterof Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degreefrom an accredited program

Licenses& Certifications:

  • Activeand unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse(APRN) license in Oregon
  • Nationalcertification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by arecognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy ofNurse Practitioners [AANP])
  • Activeand unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Oregon
  • Nationalcertification from the National Commission onCertification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Experience:

  • Whilespecific requirements may vary, most locum APP positionsprefer candidates with at least one year of experiencein a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Travel:

If you residegreater than 50 miles from the facility you areeligible for travel benefits. You will have yourtravel and lodging arranged by our travel departmentand paid for in full.
